NTS EMI & Shock Test Reports

Our NTS EMI & Shock Test Reports Are Available to Download.

The Slam Stick product line was developed as part of a RIF BAA for the US Navy, specifically PMA 265 in NAVAIR (see news article on program success).  Because this was developed for the US military, Midé had to qualify the operation of these units in some pretty harsh environments.  These products were tested and qualified at an out-of-house test facility, NTS, to the following environmental conditions.

EMI Test

Tested and qualified to the following test conditions:

EMI Test Conditions.

Tests Description Test Conditions
RE101 Radiated emissions, magnetic field,
30 Hz to 100 kHz
Tested to MIL-STD-461F Figure RE101-2
RE102 Radiated emissions, electric field,
10 kHz to 18 GHz
Tested to MIL-STD-461F Figure RE102-1 topside
RS101 Radiated susceptibility, magnetic field,
30 Hz to 100 kHz
Tested to MIL-STD-461F Figure RS101-1
RS103 Radiated susceptibility, electric field,
2 MHz to 18 GHz at 200 V/m
Tested to MIL-STD-461F Ships (Metallic) above deck applications

Shock Test

Shock testing was performed to qualify the Slam Stick products to over 3,000g.  These tests also compared acceleration data captured by the Slam Stick X at high shock levels to the reference shock accelerometers.  Below is a summary of the shock data showing linearity for different units (polycarbonate and aluminum) and different mounting methods (taped and bolted).
